India is a major focus area for the piloting and eventual implementation of EWARS project. CAGH collaborates closely with the Achutha Menon Center for Health Science Studies at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute in Trivandrum. GIS and remote sensing information will be applied to rural and urban areas to develop predictive models and tailor appropriate responses. CAGH will be particularly active in developing broad ranging networks for improving sanitation and fostering risk reduction through social change.
